- Conduct finite element method (FEM) based stress analysis using software such as Nastran, Patran, and Fem to predict structural behavior under various loads.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify design requirements and develop optimized solutions that meet performance targets.
- Develop and maintain complex models of aircraft structures, including fuselage sections, wings, engines, and landing gear.
- Provide technical guidance on stress engineering principles and best practices to junior engineers.
Job Requirements :
- 8-12 years of experience in aerospace industry with expertise in stress analysis using FEM tools like Nastran, Patran, or Fem.
- Robust understanding of airframe/nacelle structures' geometry and their response to various loads (static/dynamic).
- Proficiency in creating complex models using CAD software like CATIA V5 or similar tools.
- Experience working on large-scale projects involving multiple disciplines (mechanical/structural/avionics).
