Job Summary
Become part of Cisco's Product Operation team under Global Supply chain org.
We are seeking a seasoned New Product Project Manager to join our dynamic team, be a part of New Product Introduction; Product Lifecycle and Cost Management team-a high-impact group dedicated to ensuring the success, profitability, and quality of Cisco's product portfolio from initial launch to end-of-life (EOL).
As a New Product Program Manager (NPPM), you will be responsible for driving the successful introduction and ramp-up of new products from concept through production. You will partner multi-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Test, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and cost objectives are met. This role requires strong program management skills, technical competence, and the ability to influence and coordinate across multiple organizations.
Responsibilities
- Program Leadership: Lead multi-functional teams through the full product lifecycle-from Concept, prototyping, and validation through volume production.
- Schedule Management: Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed Mfg/Prototype schedules, achievements, and deliverables.
- Risk Management: Identify and proactively manage program risks, ensuring timely mitigation plans are in place.
- Partner Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for program status, updates, and critical issues to stakeholders and interested parties.
- Lifecycle Ownership: Own all aspects of product lifecycle management-scope definition, BOM/POR, schedules, interlocks, communication, and sustaining handoffs.
- Multi-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Test, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain,
and Marketing to ensure alignment and resolve issues.
- Cost and Quality Targets: Ensure products meet established cost, quality, and reliability targets at each development stage.
- Program Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives in program execution, using standard methodologies and lessons learned.
Minimum Qualifications
- You have 8+ years of experience in New product introduction (NPI) processes and product lifecycle management
- Diploma/Bachelor graduate in Engineering or related field
- Understanding elements of Product cost including SW.
- Proficiency in Electronics/Computer/AI field.
- Familiarity with hardware/system design, testing, and production engineering.
- Knowledge on HW and SW product lifecycle management.
- Demonstrated success in launching at least 6-8 new products within fast-paced, settings
- You are a quick learner who understands the current operational processes, tools/systems, and pain points and who can rally the team to drive changes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Solid global program/project management background, including engagement with multiple geographic locations- preferably in EMS/OEM industry
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and influence multi-functional teams without direct authority.
- Good at Presentation and Communication.
Excellent communication and follow-up skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience using program management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet)
