Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership

- Define and drive the architecture, design, and implementation of Tableau-based analytics solutions and products.
- Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance BI platforms supporting enterprise-grade reporting and self-service analytics.
- Lead technical design discussions and architecture reviews across Tableau, data warehouse, and analytics ecosystems.
- Design and govern dashboard embedding frameworks, API integrations, authentication mechanisms, and extension-based solutions.
- Establish best practices for Tableau development, administration, governance, performance optimization, and security.
- Evaluate emerging BI technologies and recommend innovative architectural solutions aligned with business goals.

Product Strategy & Ownership

- Partner closely with Product Managers to define product vision, roadmap, and feature prioritization.
- Apply a strong product mindset to identify customer pain points, market opportunities, and platform enhancements.
- Translate customer requirements, technical constraints, and business objectives into clear solution designs and actionable product requirements.
- Drive architectural decisions that balance scalability, usability, performance, and business value.
- Participate in roadmap planning and help shape product differentiation strategies within the analytics and BI ecosystem.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

- Work directly with enterprise customers, Customer Success, Sales, and Engineering teams to understand business challenges and define solution approaches.
- Act as the technical advisor for Tableau-related product capabilities, integrations, and deployment architectures.
- Lead workshops, architecture reviews, proof-of-concepts, and solution demonstrations.
- Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Governance & Platform Excellence

- Define governance frameworks, security standards, authentication models, and performance optimization strategies for Tableau deployments.




- Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to align analytics architecture with enterprise ETL/ELT and data platform strategies.
- Ensure scalability, maintainability, reliability, and compliance of analytics solutions.
- Promote best practices around metadata management, data lineage, cataloging, and observability.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

- 8-12 years of overall experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, Data Platforms, or Enterprise Reporting solutions.
- Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience with Tableau architecture, development, and administration.
- Proven experience in Solution Architecture, Technical Leadership, or Product-oriented BI consulting roles.
- Experience influencing product strategy, roadmap decisions, and architecture direction.

- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Tableau Desktop
- Tableau Server / Tableau Cloud

API & Integration Experience

- Hands-on experience with:

- Experience designing integrations between Tableau and enterprise applications.
- Strong understanding of:

- SAML
- OAuth
- Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID
- Identity Federation and Access Management

- Experience troubleshooting embedding-related challenges such as iframe restrictions, authentication flows, and extension compatibility.

Data & Analytics Architecture

- Strong understanding of enterprise data ecosystems and analytics architecture.
- Experience working with:

- Modern Data Warehouses/Lakehouses

- Understanding of ETL/ELT frameworks, data pipelines, and data integration patterns.

- Proven ability to think beyond technology and focus on customer outcomes and business value.
- Experience defining product requirements, feature specifications, and prioritization frameworks.
- Robust understanding of BI and analytics market trends.
- Knowledge of competing BI platforms such as:
- Power BI
- Looker
- Qlik

- Ability to analyze competitive landscapes and identify product differentiation opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in Data Quality, Data Governance, Data Observability, or Data Testing platforms.
- Working knowledge of:
- Data Catalogs
- Metadata Management

- Data Trust Frameworks

- Experience implementing governance and security strategies within enterprise analytics platforms.
- Exposure to cloud-native analytics solutions across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- Tableau, Snowflake, Databricks, or Cloud platform certifications are highly desirable.
