Role Summary

- We are seeking an Automation Engineer with 4-5 years of hands-on experience in Siemens and Phoenix Contact automation systems.
- The role involves PLC programming, system integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting, with additional preference for candidates exposed to Schneider, Rockwell, or other PLC plateform
- The role involves engineering, programming, testing, commissioning, and site support for industrial automation projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, program, and commission Siemens PLC systems (S7-1200, S7-1500, S7-300/400)
- Develop control logic using TIA Portal / STEP 7
- Configure and program Phoenix Contact PLCs (PLCnext / RFC series)
- Integrate PLCs with HMIs, SCADA, drives, and field instrumentation
- Implement and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols (PROFINET, PROFIBUS, Modbus TCP, Ethernet)
- Perform FAT, SAT, site commissioning, and startup ac
- Troubleshoot automation issues to minimize system down
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation (IO lists, FDS, PLC backups, manuals)
- Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and commissioning teams
- Support DCS engineering acties (I/O mapping, graphics, alarms)
- Prepare FDS, I/O lists, logic descriptions, and basic documenta
- cipate in FAT, SAT, commissioning, and site troubleshooting
- Interface PLC/SCADA with VFDs, MCCs, and field instruments
- Coordinate with electrical, instrumentation, and project teams
- Ensure compliance with safety and engineering standards.

Required Skills & Qualification





- Bachelors/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering
- 4-5 years of relevant industrial automation experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Siemens PLCs
- Hands-on experience with Phoenix Contact PLCs and I/O systems
- Proficient in TIA Portal / STEP 7
- Valuable understanding of control panels, wiring diagrams, and industrial instrumenta
- Hands-on knowledge of: o PLC programming (Ladder / FBD / basic ST) o Alarms, trends, and tag configuration
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus TCP/IP, Profibus, Profinet)
- Exposure to process / manufacturing industries
- Willingness to travel for site commissioning.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Schneider Electric PLCs (EcoStruxure / Unity Pro)
- Exposure to Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix)
- Knowledge of other PLC plateorms (Mitsubishi, Omron, Beckhoff, etc.)
- Familiarity with multi-vendor automation environments
- Exposure to SCADA systems and industrial data integration
- Knowledge of safety PLCs and functional safety standards
