Job Title: ETL Test Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated ETL Test Engineer to validate data integration, transformation, and migration processes across enterprise data platforms. The ideal candidate will possess solid expertise in ETL testing, data warehousing, SQL, and data validation techniques to ensure accurate and reliable data movement across systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze source-to-target mapping documents and business requirements.
- Design and execute ETL test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
- Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
- Perform data integrity, completeness, accuracy, and reconciliation testing.
- Verify data transformations, aggregation rules, and business logic.
- Conduct database testing using complex SQL queries.
- Validate data migration and data warehouse implementations.
- Identify, document, and track defects through closure.
- Collaborate with ETL developers, data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders.
- Perform regression, system integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Generate test execution reports and provide quality metrics.
- Automate ETL testing processes where applicable.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in ETL/Data Warehouse testing.




- Strong knowledge of ETL concepts and data warehousing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as:
- Informatica PowerCenter
- Talend
- SSIS
- DataStage
- Ab Initio
- Azure Data Factory (ADF)

- Strong SQL expertise with experience writing complex queries.
- Experience validating large volumes of data across multiple systems.
- Good understanding of:

- Data Modeling
- Star Schema
- Snowflake Schema
- Fact and Dimension Tables

- Experience with defect tracking tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with cloud data platforms:
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Azure Data Lake
- AWS Redshift
- Snowflake
- Google BigQuery

- Experience in Data Migration and Data Conversion projects.
- ETL Test Automation experience using Python, SQL, or automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView.
- Exposure to Big Data technologies:

- Hadoop
- Hive
- Spark
- Databricks

- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
