Roles & Responsibilities :

Cross-Functional Oversight & Coordination:

- Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day working of the Tax, GL, and FA teams by working closely with the respective Heads of Department to ensure alignment on priorities, timelines, and standards
- Act as a single point of escalation across the three functions, resolving cross-team dependencies (e.g., tax provisioning inputs from GL, FA closing schedules affecting tax filings)
- Drive standardization of accounting policies, chart of accounts, and reporting formats across the 50+ subsidiaries and hold co.
- Set up and monitor a group-wide financial closing calendar, ensuring all subsidiaries adhere to consolidation timelines

Financial Accounting & Reporting:

- Ensure timely and accurate standalone and consolidated financial statements under Ind AS for the holding company and all subsidiaries
- Review key GL schedules, reconciliations, and month-end/quarter-end closing processes across entities
- Support statutory audit, internal audit, and cost audit processes, including coordination of information across subsidiaries

Taxation Oversight:

- Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance across the group,



ensuring the Tax team meets filing, assessment, and litigation timelines
- Review tax positions, provisioning, and disclosures for accuracy prior to management and audit committee reporting
- Support tax due diligence, restructuring, and merger-related workstreams as they arise within the group

Management & Board Reporting:

- Prepare and review MIS, board packs, and audit committee documentation summarizing group financial and tax positions
- Highlight risks, exceptions, and process gaps across subsidiaries to senior management on a periodic basis
- Support the CFO/GM in strategic finance projects, including restructuring, fund-raising, and process automation initiatives

People & Process Leadership:

- Coordinate with Heads of Department to build team capability, resolve resourcing gaps, and ensure adequate documentation/SOPs
- Drive process improvement and automation initiatives to improve efficiency across a high-volume, multi-entity structure
- Ensure adequate internal controls and segregation of duties are maintained across the Tax, GL, and FA functions
