Job Title: Managing Director, BXCI Finance India Lead
The BXCI Finance India Lead will be a senior leader within the BXCI Finance organization based in India, directly supporting the BXCI Head of Finance in New York. The role will provide centralized leadership, operating oversight, talent development, and execution discipline across the India / COE finance platform supporting FP&A;, BDC Finance, Expense Management, Performance Reporting, Client Reporting, Product Control, and related finance functions. The individual will partner closely with U.S. Finance leadership and cross-functional teams to scale the operating model, strengthen controls, improve service quality, and drive automation across core deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance Leadership & India COE Oversight
- Serve as the senior India-based finance leader for BXCI, directly supporting the BXCI Head of Finance in New York and ensuring local execution aligns with global BXCI Finance priorities.
- Oversee India / COE teams across FP&A;, BDC Finance, Expense Management, Performance Reporting, Client Reporting, Product Control, and adjacent finance support functions.
- Act as primary liaison between New York Finance leadership and India teams, driving prioritization, accountability, escalation management, and service-level discipline across recurring and ad hoc deliverables.
- Build a scalable operating model with clear ownership, standardized procedures, robust controls, and measurable KPIs across each functional workstream.
FP&A;, Forecasting & Management Reporting
- Lead India support for BXCI budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, analytics, and business performance reviews across funds, strategies, and management company activities.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and well-controlled delivery of forecast inputs, variance analysis, management dashboards, and senior leadership materials.
- Partner with U.S. FP&A; leads to improve data quality, streamline reporting cycles, and enhance forward-looking insights for decision-making.
BDC Finance, Expense Management & Product Control
- Oversee India support for BDC finance processes,
including recurring financial reporting, fund analytics, close support, reconciliations, and board / management deliverables.
- Provide senior oversight of expense management workflows including invoice coding, T&E; allocations, cost center controls, approval tracking, aging, and issue resolution.
- Lead Product Control support to ensure accurate, complete, and timely preparation, review, and control of booking, reconciliation, allocation, and reporting processes across relevant BXCI products.
Performance Reporting, Client Reporting & Data Quality
- Oversee teams responsible for investment performance reporting, client reporting packages, recurring data requests, and related quality-control processes across BXCI products.
- Drive consistency in reported metrics, source data usage, documentation, review evidence, and escalation protocols across performance and client reporting deliverables.
- Partner with technology, operations, and data teams to strengthen data governance, lineage, automation, and reporting controls.
People Leadership, Talent Development & Stakeholder Management
- Manage, mentor, and develop senior and junior leaders across the India finance platform, setting priorities, building bench strength, and fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and excellence.
- Create clear team structures, coverage models, training plans, succession plans, and performance expectations across functional areas.
- Serve as senior escalation point for deliverable quality, staffing, prioritization, stakeholder inquiries, and cross-functional dependencies.
Systems, Automation & Process Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement across workflows, controls, and reporting processes using core finance and data tools such as Anaplan, Sigma, Axiom,
Transaction Cube, EAS, Concur, and other BXCI platforms as applicable.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual work, shorten cycle times, improve transparency, and build scalable automation in partnership with BXTI, operations, data, and U.S. Finance teams.
- Maintain formalized SOPs, process inventories, request trackers, control documentation, and service dashboards to support institutionalized execution.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 20+ years of progressive finance, accounting, FP&A;, fund finance, product control, operations, or asset management experience; credit, insurance, BDC, or alternatives experience strongly preferred.
- Significant people leadership experience, including experience managing managers and scaling global / offshore teams in a high-volume, high-control environment.
- Solid technical finance foundation with demonstrated experience across forecasting, management reporting, close support, fund reporting, expense management, performance / client reporting, or product control.
- Proven ability to operate as a senior partner to U.S.-based leadership, balancing strategic priorities with hands-on execution and strong judgment.
- High degree of analytical rigor, attention to detail, ownership, and control mindset, with the ability to identify risks, resolve issues, and improve processes.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presence; able to synthesize complex issues into clear recommendations and action plans.
- Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency; experience with Anaplan, Sigma, Axiom, EAS, Concur, data visualization, workflow, or automation tools preferred.
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or related discipline required; CPA, CA, MBA, or other relevant advanced qualification preferred.
