Full-Stack Software Engineer (Java / Spring Boot + React)

About the Role

We are looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer who can take ownership of a feature or business module end to

end-from understanding the business problem and designing the solution to implementation, testing, deployment,

and production support.

You will work closely with the engineer responsible for the system architecture as well as business and product

stakeholders who own the requirements. This gives you the context, ownership, and autonomy to make sound

technical decisions.

This is a high-ownership engineering role. You will not simply receive predefined development tickets. You will

be expected to understand the underlying business problem, ask the right questions, identify gaps and edge cases,

and translate requirements into reliable production-ready software.

Key Responsibilities

- Translate business requirements into technical designs covering data models, API contracts, workflow

states, authorization rules, and system behavior .

- Proactively identify gaps, contradictions, edge cases, and potential failure scenarios before

implementation begins.

- Contribute to architectural decisions involving database/schema design, service boundaries, caching,

asynchronous processing, background jobs, and integration patterns .

- Build features end to end, including PostgreSQL schemas and migrations, Spring Boot services, REST

APIs, and React-based user interfaces .

- Implement audit trails, immutable transaction histories, and reporting capabilities for workflows

where data integrity and correctness are critical.

- Design and integrate third-party services such as payment gateways, logistics/courier APIs, email, SMS,

and messaging platforms .

- Review peer pull requests with a focus on correctness, security, performance, maintainability,



and

engineering standards .

- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests, covering business rules, edge cases, failure scenarios, and

negative cases-not just the happy path.

- Follow disciplined engineering practices around coding standards, Git workflows, branching, pull

requests, and clean commit history .

- Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and support the systems you build in production.

- Participate in incident response, debugging, root-cause analysis, and preventive improvements.

- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, environment configuration, deployment automation, and release-

process improvements . - Maintain technical documentation covering APIs, database/schema decisions, configuration,

operational procedures, and runbooks .

- Work directly with non-technical stakeholders to clarify requirements and communicate technical

constraints, risks, and trade-offs in a clear and actionable manner.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3+ years of experience building and shipping production-grade web applications as a full-stack engineer.

- Robust hands-on experience with Java 17/21, Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.

- Strong understanding of REST API design, including:

- API versioning

- Pagination

- Request validation

- Error handling and error contracts

- API documentation

- Good experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, including:

- Component-based development

- State management

- Forms

- Protected routes

- API integration

- Responsive interfaces





- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, and integration testing.

- Strong understanding of Git and collaborative development practices, including branching, pull requests,

and code reviews.

- Hands-on experience with Docker.

- Comfortable deploying, monitoring, debugging, and troubleshooting applications on AWS or GCP.

Good to Have

Experience in one or more of the following will be an advantage:

- Building multi-tenant SaaS applications, including tenant isolation and data-access controls.

- Event-driven architecture , Kafka, message queues, and asynchronous processing.

- Integrating payment gateways, logistics platforms, courier services, or other third-party APIs.

- Building reporting, analytics, or data-intensive dashboards. - Integrating LLM/AI-powered capabilities into production applications.

- Experience working on systems involving complex workflows, approvals, permissions, or transactional

data .
