Position Summary
D80 is seeking a Low Voltage Estimator to support Fire Alarm, Access Control, CCTV, BDA/ERRCS, Structured Cabling, AV, and related low-voltage projects. The Estimator will review plans and specifications, perform takeoffs, build BOMs, identify applicable code and AHJ requirements, and develop accurate budgets and proposals.
This position works closely with Project Management and Operations to ensure projects are properly scoped, priced, and prepared for successful execution.
Responsibilities

- Review construction drawings, specifications, and addenda.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop Bills of Material (BOMs).
- Identify system requirements based on project documents and local AHJ code requirements.
- Estimate material, labor, permitting, programming, testing, and commissioning costs.
- Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
- Prepare proposals, budgets, exclusions, and assumptions.
- Support value engineering and alternate solutions.
- Assist with change order pricing and project turnover to Operations.
- Maintain estimating databases, labor units,



and material pricing.

Requirements

- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Understanding of Fire Alarm, Access Control, CCTV, BDA/ERRCS, Structured Cabling, and related low-voltage systems.
- Knowledge of NFPA, NEC, IFC, IBC, and local AHJ requirements.
- Solid organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
