- Participates in a structured on-the-job training program and become familiar with Audit Data Analytics ,Accounting and Assurance Principles and Standards.
- Learn, apply and provide high quality deliverables on the assigned ADA s.
- For any ADAs that you re involved with, read, and understand the methodology guidance contained in the ADA Procedure Guide.
- Learn, understand, and apply Basic Excel and Power BI (Power Query) skills necessary to be successful as an ADA Skilled.
- Work with the stakeholders and provide relevant updates and complete the tasks assigned within the expected timeframe
- Collaborate with ETL team and Engagement teams as needed. Focus on developing effective communication and interpersonal skills to build and sustain professional relationships.
- Prepares and documents work in Audit Data Analytics Emerging Methods specific tools, applications and templates.
- Ensure the BDO Advantage protocols are followed before the request is delivered to the engagement teams.
- Contributes ideas/opinions to the Audit Data Analytics Emerging Methods project teams and listens/responds to other team members views
- Additional responsibilities and projects as required
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Education:
- Bachelors or Masters degree
Experience:
- Prior accounting or data analytics experience, preferred
- Demonstrated initiative in learning, adopting, and/or applying innovative approaches and technology, preferred
License/Certifications:
- Actively pursuing school credits to become a CPA/ACCA preferred
Software:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint, preferred
- Knowledge of tools like Power Bi, Alteryx, DAX,SQL will be an added advantage
