Role Overview:
The Finance Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day finance operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations, bookkeeping, payroll support, billing reports, MIS reporting, statutory returns, GST, TDS, compliance, margin reporting, and internal finance controls. The role will be hands-on while also reviewing internal work, coordinating junior finance team members, ensuring timely completion of routine finance activities, and acting as the primary operational point of contact for management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end vendor invoice processing, verification, approvals, and payment scheduling.
- Ensure accurate recording of expenses, vendor balances, advances, accruals, and provisions.
- Monitor pending bills, due dates, payment priorities, vendor ageing, and follow-ups.
- Review vendor ledger reconciliations and resolve invoice, payment, or documentation discrepancies.
- Ensure proper supporting documentation is maintained for audit, tax, and internal review purposes.
- Manage customer invoicing, revenue tracking, receipt accounting, AR ageing review, and billing reports.
- Follow up on outstanding receivables and coordinate with internal teams for collections.
- Review customer account reconciliations, receipts, credit notes, and adjustments.
- Prepare and review periodic receivables reports highlighting overdue amounts, collection risks, and action items.
- Support management with cash inflow visibility, collection forecasts, and working capital insights.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal management review.
- Build, maintain, and improve MIS dashboards covering revenue, expenses, cash flow, AP, AR, profitability, margins, billing, and working capital.
- Prepare billing reports, margin reports, and other operational finance reports required by management.
- Perform variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods, and highlight key financial trends.
- Support management with ad hoc financial analysis, cost tracking, decision-support reports, and business insights.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial data across reports and management packs.
- Coordinate preparation, review, and timely filing of applicable statutory returns, tax returns, and compliance submissions.
- Support GST, TDS, payroll-related, income tax, and other finance compliance requirements, as applicable.
- Manage bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, ledger reconciliations, month-end schedules, and supporting records.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, including provisions, accruals, reconciliations, and schedules.
- Coordinate with external consultants, auditors, and internal stakeholders for compliance, audit, and review requirements.
- Maintain audit-ready records, working papers, schedules, and supporting documentation.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Robust understanding of accounting, AP, AR, bank reconciliations, bookkeeping, financial reporting, statutory returns, and compliance requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to build structured reports, trackers, MIS dashboards, billing reports, margin reports, and review templates.
- Working knowledge of accounting or ERP systems such as Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
-Good understanding of GST, TDS, income tax, payroll-related compliance,
and return filing coordination.
- Ability to manage payroll support activities and coordinate payroll-related accounting, documentation, and compliance inputs.
- Strong analytical, review, problem-solving, and control-oriented mindset with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize multiple tasks, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Good communication skills and ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders and management.
- Ability to guide, review, support, and follow up with junior finance team members and finance resources.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CA Inter, CMA Inter, MBA Finance, M.Com, or equivalent qualification will be preferred.
- 1 to 4 years of experience in finance and accounts, preferably in a corporate or services organization, with hands-on experience in AP, AR, bank reconciliations, payroll support, MIS reporting, billing reports, margin reporting, statutory returns, GST, TDS, bookkeeping, compliance, reconciliations, and review of junior finance resources.
- Prior experience managing AP, AR, MIS reporting, billing reports, margin reporting, statutory returns, closing activities, compliance tasks, and reviewing junior finance resources is preferred.
- Experience coordinating with finance resources, external auditors, tax consultants, and internal business teams will be an advantage.
- Experience working across India, the US, and Singapore finance or accounting processes would be a plus.
