Position: Cinema Manager
Department: Cinema Operations
Location: Wave One, Sector 18, Noida
Reporting To: VPOperations/Head-Operations
Experience: 10–15 years in Cinema / Multiplex / Hospitality / Entertainment Operations
Qualification: Graduate / Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration or relevant field

1. Job Purpose

To lead and manage the overall operations of the cinema, ensuring smooth, safe, efficient and customer-focused operations while maintaining high standards of service, hygiene, security, technical coordination and revenue performance.

The Cinema Manager will be responsible for the complete day-to-day functioning of the cinema, including FOH/BOH operations, guest experience, manpower management, housekeeping, security, food & beverage coordination, ticketing, vendor management and compliance.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Cinema Operations

- Manage the complete day-to-day operations of the cinema.
- Ensure all shows commence and conclude as per the scheduled timings.
- Monitor auditorium readiness, lobby, ticketing areas, washrooms, food & beverage areas and other customer-facing spaces.
- Ensure operational SOPs and service standards are strictly followed.
- Coordinate with mall operations, MEP, security, housekeeping, fire & safety and other departments.

B. Customer Experience

- Ensure excellent guest experience and high service standards.
- Monitor customer feedback, complaints and escalations and ensure timely resolution.
- Conduct regular inspections of public areas and auditoriums.
- Ensure cleanliness, ambience, lighting, temperature and overall presentation are maintained.

C. Box Office & Ticketing

- Supervise ticketing and box-office operations.
- Monitor ticket sales, cancellations, complimentary tickets and related transactions.
- Ensure proper cash handling, reconciliation and control procedures.
- Coordinate with the commercial/revenue team for promotions and special screenings.

D. Food & Beverage Operations

- Monitor cinema F&B; operations, including food quality, hygiene, service and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Monitor wastage, stock levels and operational costs.




- Coordinate with F&B; vendors/operators wherever applicable.

E. Manpower Management

- Plan and manage manpower deployment according to show schedules and business requirements.
- Supervise team performance, attendance, grooming and discipline.
- Conduct daily briefings and regular team meetings.
- Identify training requirements and ensure effective on-the-job training.
- Prepare duty rosters and ensure adequate staffing during peak hours.

F. Safety, Security & Compliance

- Ensure strict compliance with Fire & Life Safety, emergency procedures and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate emergency drills and ensure staff are trained in evacuation and emergency response procedures.
- Ensure security protocols are followed across all cinema areas.
- Report and investigate incidents, accidents and customer-related issues.
- Maintain all required operational records, checklists and statutory documentation.

G. Technical & Facility Coordination

- Coordinate with MEP and technical teams for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, DG, lifts and other building services.
- Ensure timely resolution of technical breakdowns affecting cinema operations.
- Coordinate with projection/sound/AV teams for technical issues affecting shows.
- Monitor preventive maintenance schedules and ensure equipment availability.

H. Vendor & Inventory Management

- Manage coordination with housekeeping, security, technical and other service vendors.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure agreed service standards are maintained.
- Control cinema consumables, F&B; inventory, stationery and operational materials.
- Ensure proper stock records and minimize wastage and pilferage.

I. Revenue & Cost Control

- Monitor daily business performance and operational expenses.
- Analyse occupancy, footfall, ticketing and F&B; performance.




- Support revenue enhancement initiatives and promotional activities.
- Ensure effective cost control without compromising customer service.

J. MIS & Reporting

- Prepare and review daily, weekly and monthly operational reports.
- Monitor key operational KPIs and highlight deviations to management.
- Maintain records of incidents, customer complaints, manpower, sales, inventory and maintenance.
- Provide management with regular operational updates and improvement plans.

5. Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates currently working as Cinema Manager/Operations Manager/Assistant General Manager–Cinema/Multiplex Operations Manager with reputed cinema chains, entertainment facilities, hospitality organizations or large commercial/mixed-use developments will be preferred.

Experience in managing high-footfall cinema operations with multiple screens, large teams and integrated F&B;/customer-service operations will be an added advantage.
