Job Summary
Technology and people leader responsible for the strategy, architecture, governance, delivery, adoption and operational excellence of Organization ss Microsoft 365 productivity ecosystem. Leads Power Platform, Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio capabilities across a complex enterprise environment. Combines hands-on technical leadership with people management, stakeholder partnership, responsible AI enablement, platform risk management, licensing and cost optimization, migration leadership and measurable business-value delivery.
Core Responsibilities
- Own the enterprise roadmap, target architecture and operating model for Microsoft 365 productivity solutions, aligning platform investments with Organization s business priorities and Digital Workplace strategy.
- Act as the technology lead for Power Platform, Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio, providing architecture direction, design assurance and technical decision-making.
- Guide business teams and service owners toward fit-for-purpose solutions for automation, productivity, governance and AI enablement.
- Own Power Platform governance and CoE maturity, including setting strategy, DLP policies, connector controls, Dataverse capacity, Managed Environments, solution ALM, pipelines, ownership and platform hygiene.
- Lead Copilot and Copilot Studio enablement through structured use-case intake, technical fitment, proof-of-concept validation, production-readiness reviews, agent lifecycle controls, responsible AI guardrails and adoption monitoring.
- Oversee Microsoft 365 licensing, Copilot allocation, usage analytics, AI credit consumption, capacity forecasting, cost optimization and chargeback or showback inputs where applicable.
- Track Microsoft roadmap, Message Center updates, service health, feature retirements and sunset announcements; define mitigation and readiness actions before business impact.
- Provide technical oversight for integrations using Microsoft Graph, SharePoint REST APIs, app registrations, secure authentication,
custom connectors and governed enterprise data-access patterns.
- Drive operational excellence through automation, reusable patterns, service metrics, platform-health reviews, risk registers, support readiness and continuous improvement.
- Manage relationships with Microsoft, strategic vendors and delivery partners, ensuring alignment with Organization s Enterprise architecture, security, quality, delivery and commercial expectations.
- Establish and report measurable outcomes such as adoption, time saved, manual effort reduced, ticket deflection, platform risk reduction, service health and cost optimization.
- Experience with AI consumption governance, FinOps, license optimization, chargeback or showback models.
- Experience using adoption analytics, executive dashboards and value-realization frameworks for productivity technologies.
People Manager Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team covering Power Platform, Copilot enablement, governance and solution delivery.
- Translate the Digital Workplace roadmap into clear team priorities, role expectations, objectives, delivery accountability and measurable outcomes.
- Conduct regular one-to-one discussions, provide timely and constructive feedback, support career development plans and create opportunities for technical and leadership growth.
- Build workforce capability through skills assessment, targeted learning, certifications, cross-training, knowledge sharing and succession planning for critical responsibilities.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and role allocation; ensure the right mix of architecture, engineering, governance, operations and business-engagement capability.
- Manage team capacity, demand allocation, dependencies and delivery risks; remove blockers and escalate decisions when cross-functional support is required.
- Represent the team in leadership forums and communicate achievements, risks, resource needs, roadmap progress and business value.
Good-to-Have Skills and Experience
- Experience establishing or scaling a Power Platform or Copilot Center of Excellence.
- Experience with Power Platform CoE Starter Kit, Power Platform pipelines, Azure DevOps control and enterprise ALM practices.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Purview, sensitivity labels, retention, eDiscovery and data lifecycle capabilities.
- Experience with PowerShell automation, Microsoft 365 administration scripting and service-management automation.
- Knowledge of ITIL, Agile, product management, change management and service ownership practices.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, transportation, industrial or other globally distributed business environments.
Education
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Postgraduate qualification in technology, business or management is advantageous.
Certifications ( Good to have)
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (PL-600).
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400) or Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate (PL-200).
- Microsoft Applied Skills credentials relevant to Microsoft Copilot Studio, agent creation, Power Platform or responsible AI, as available and applicable.
- ITIL 4 Foundation, Scrum/Agile, Prosci Change Management or a recognized people-leadership certification.
