Key Responsibilities

1. Production Management :

- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities in composite layup, vacuum bagging, autoclave curing, trimming, and bonding operations.
- Ensure adherence to production schedules, optimize workflow, and minimize downtime.
- Monitor production output, yield, and scrap rates, initiating corrective actions as needed.

2. Quality & Compliance :

- Ensure strict adherence to process sheets, work instructions, and quality standards (AS9100 / aerospace & defense requirements).
- Conduct in-process inspections, support quality audits, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Promote a culture of right-first-time manufacturing.

3. People Supervision :

- Lead, train, and motivate operators and laminators to follow best practices in composites manufacturing.
- Manage shift rosters, allocate manpower effectively, and resolve shop floor challenges.
- Ensure workforce discipline, safety compliance, and continuous skill development.

4. Process Improvement :

- Drive lean manufacturing practices, 5S, and Kaizen initiatives to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Support introduction of new materials, tooling,



and automated technologies.
- Collaborate with engineering and planning teams to improve manufacturability and reduce rework.

5. Health, Safety & Setting :

- Enforce EHS standards during handling of composites, resins, adhesives, and autoclave operations.
- Ensure safe disposal of hazardous materials and compliance with environmental guidelines.

Preferred candidate profile

- Diploma/ ITI / B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical, Production, Aerospace, or related field.
- 6 months to 5 years of experience in composites manufacturing (preferably aerospace & defense sector).
- Strong understanding of prepreg layup, resin infusion, autoclave curing, trimming, drilling, and bonding processes.
- Familiarity with aerospace quality systems (AS9100) and documentation requirements.
- Proven experience in leading shop-floor teams and achieving production targets.
