Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced RMG (Resource Management Group) Lead to lead resource planning, allocation, utilization, billing, SOW management, reporting, and stakeholder management across projects. The role will also be responsible for RMG tool implementation, process automation, system adoption, and continuous improvement to establish a scalable and data-driven resource management function.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end resource management and workforce planning across projects based on business requirements, skills, availability, and demand.
- Manage resource forecasting, capacity planning, allocation, utilization, and deployment across projects.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Delivery Leads, Business Leaders, HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to identify current and future resource requirements.
- Manage SOW (Statement of Work) tracking, including project scope, resource commitments, allocations, timelines, and commercial requirements.
- Ensure resources are appropriately mapped and utilization is created and maintained against specific projects.
- Monitor and manage billable and non-billable resources, identifying opportunities to improve billability and optimize workforce utilization.
- Partner with Finance and project teams on billing-related activities, including billable resource validation, project allocations, and billing inputs.
- Track resource movements, including onboarding, allocation, transfers, project transitions, and roll-offs.
- Proactively identify resource gaps, excess capacity, and upcoming demand and develop appropriate allocation strategies.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders and provide regular updates on resource capacity, utilization, demand, billing,



and workforce metrics.
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of RMG/Resource Management tools, from requirement gathering and solution design through configuration, testing, deployment, and adoption.
- Define business requirements, workflows, approval processes, data structures, and reporting requirements for the RMG platform.
- Work closely with technology teams and tool vendors to configure the RMG tool according to business and operational requirements.
- Establish processes for resource allocation, project mapping, utilization tracking, demand management, forecasting, and reporting within the tool.
- Drive user adoption, training, documentation, and change management across project managers, resource managers, and business stakeholders.
- Establish governance, controls, and data-quality standards to ensure accurate and reliable RMG data.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization using the RMG platform.

- Project-level and organizational utilization




- Prepare regular management reports and executive dashboards with actionable insights.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely availability of RMG data and reports.
- Use analytics to identify trends, risks, capacity gaps, and opportunities for improved resource utilization.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong experience in RMG / Resource Management / Workforce Management within an IT services or consulting environment.
- Proven experience in RMG tool implementation or Resource Management platform implementation.
- Strong understanding of SOW management, project allocation, utilization, billing, forecasting, and capacity planning.
- Experience managing both billable and non-billable resources.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience with change management, UAT, implementation, and user adoption.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and experience with Power BI or similar reporting/dashboard tools.
- Ability to translate business requirements into RMG processes, workflows, and system configurations.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders simultaneously.

Preferred candidate profile

- 8+ years of experience in Resource Management, RMG, Workforce Management or a related function.
- Prior experience as an RMG Lead / Resource Management Lead / Workforce Planning Lead.
- Proven experience in implementing or managing RMG/Resource Management tools.
- Experience working with multiple projects, business units, or delivery teams in a fast-paced IT services setting.
- Experience in dashboard development, reporting automation, and data-driven resource planning.
