Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Head – Electrical Maintenance to lead and manage the electrical maintenance and operations function at a pulp & paper manufacturing plant. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring reliable operation, preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, power management, and overall reliability of plant electrical systems, including boiler, turbine, generator (TG set), HT/LT systems, and process equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the electrical maintenance team for smooth plant operations.
- Ensure reliable operation and maintenance of boiler, turbine, generator (TG set), and auxiliary systems.
- Handle HT/LT electrical systems, transformers, motors, MCCs, VFDs, switchgear, and protection systems.
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults in turbine, boiler auxiliaries, power generation, and process equipment.
- Monitor and optimize power generation, consumption, and energy efficiency.
- Coordinate with Instrumentation, Mechanical, Production, and other departments for plant operations.
- Plan and supervise shutdowns, annual maintenance, overhauling, and electrical projects.




- Ensure electrical systems comply with safety standards, statutory requirements, and company procedures.
- Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, spare parts, and equipment performance.
- Identify opportunities for improving equipment reliability and reducing maintenance costs.
- Lead the team effectively and ensure proper manpower utilization, training, and discipline.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and power plant operations.
- Hands-on experience with boiler, turbine, TG set, generators, and auxiliary systems.
- Good knowledge of HT/LT systems, transformers, motors, MCCs, VFDs, relays, and switchgear.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance practices.
- Understanding of power management and energy optimization.
- Strong leadership, team handling, and coordination skills.
- Good knowledge of electrical safety and statutory compliance.
- Good computer skills and maintenance documentation knowledge.

Education & Experience

Education: B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering preferred.

Experience: 10–15+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a pulp & paper, power plant, process, or similar heavy manufacturing industry.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be a technically robust and experienced electrical professional with proven leadership capability, hands-on troubleshooting experience, and the ability to manage electrical maintenance operations in a continuous-process manufacturing environment.
