IIB/ACE Admin Job Description

As an IIB/ACE Admin, the candidate should be able to perform the following below:

Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) and IBM Integration Bus (IIB) environments.

Understand and manage different ACE versions and their features, enhancements, and compatibility differences.

Download, validate, and deploy ACE software packages in various environments.

Create and manage Integration Nodes (Brokers) and associated Integration Servers (Execution Groups).

Configure and administer multi-instance and high-availability environments.

Configure SSL Setup

Create, configure, and maintain Applications, Libraries, and Integration Services.





Support development teams in creating and deploying message flows and integration applications.

Package and deploy integration services across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.

Manage deployment automation and version control processes.

Monitor ACE/IIB environments to ensure optimal performance and availability.

Utilize monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve issues.

Analyze logs, event messages, and diagnostic traces to troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues.

Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.

Enable flow debugging and tracing for message flow validation.

Support performance tuning, troubleshooting, and debugging activities.

Validate deployments and ensure successful integration service execution.

IBM MQ Administration

Understand IBM MQ architecture and messaging concepts.

Create and manage Queue Managers, Local Queues, Remote Queues, and Channels.

Monitor MQ health, queue depth, channel status, and message flow.

Troubleshoot MQ connectivity and messaging-related issues.

ITIL BAU Ops

Participate in incident, problem, change, and release management activities.

Ensure compliance with organizational standards, security policies, and operational procedures.

Maintain technical documentation, deployment guides, and operational runbooks.

Provide production support and on-call assistance as required.
