Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HR Operations Lead / Assistant Manager to manage end-to-end HR operational processes and employee lifecycle management. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of solid HR Operations experience with proven hands-on expertise in administering and optimizing the greytHR HRMS platform. You will be responsible for seamless payroll execution, statutory compliance, HR database management, and employee service delivery.
Roles & Responsibilities
greytHR HRMS Administration & Optimization
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and super-administrator for greytHR.
Manage and configure all greytHR modules including Core HR, Payroll, Leave & Attendance, Expense Claims, Employee Self-Service (ESS), and Helpdesk.
Troubleshoot system issues, manage role-based access permissions, and ensure 100% data accuracy in employee master records.
Utilize greytHR's custom query builder and reporting tools to generate weekly/monthly HR metrics, headcount reports, attendance summaries, and attrition analytics.
End-to-End Payroll Management




Own and execute monthly payroll processing for all employees via greytHR with complete accuracy and timely disbursement.
Manage attendance regularization, leave balances, shifts, overtime, loss of pay (LOP), arrears, and variable payouts.
Perform quarterly and annual tax declaration verification (Form 12BB), investment proofs, and TDS calculations.
Process Full & Final (FnF) settlements, including gratuity, leave encashment, notice period recoveries, and statutory payouts.
Statutory Compliance & Audits
Ensure strict adherence to labour laws and statutory compliance requirements including PF, ESI, Professional Tax (PT), Labour Welfare Fund (LWF), and Income Tax.
Coordinate with Finance and external consultants for timely filing of monthly ECRs (PF/ESI) and annual/quarterly returns.
Prepare for and represent the HR department during internal, external, and statutory audits.
Employee Lifecycle Management
Oversee smooth onboarding and offboarding workflows, ensuring a positive experience for joining and exiting employees.
Manage probation tracking, confirmation processes, transfers, promotions, and role changes in greytHR.
Handle employee query resolution related to payroll, policies, leaves, and tax declarations through the greytHR helpdesk ticketing system.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA/PGDM in HR preferred).
Experience: 5 to 8 years of core experience in HR Operations and Payroll.
HRMS Expertise: 3+ years of intensive, hands-on administrative experience with greytHR is strictly required.
Payroll & Statutory Knowledge: Deep understanding of Indian payroll processing, statutory deductions, labour laws, and tax regulations.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Pivot Tables,



Data Validation, Formulae).
Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, strong problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential data discreetly.
Key Competencies
Data Precision: High accuracy in numerical data handling and payroll computations.
Process Automation: Ability to leverage greytHR workflows to eliminate manual/paperwork processes.
Stakeholder Management: Comfortable interacting with cross-functional teams (Finance, IT, Management) and external vendors.
Additional Requirements
Must be willing to work the UK shift.
Must be able to work after hours as needed to support business leaders.
Must work with minimal or no supervision and take ownership of the role.
