Role Description The Senior Accountant role at Dora Dori is a full time, on-site position based in Jaipur. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing activities. The Senior Accountant will prepare financial statements, support budgeting and forecasting, monitor cash flow, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls. The role also involves coordinating with internal departments, auditors, and external stakeholders, analyzing financial data to support management decisions, and recommending process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.



The Senior Accountant will mentor junior team members, help implement best practices in accounting, and contribute to the reliability of financial reporting for the brand.
Qualifications

- Strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting for management decision-making.
- Knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST and other tax regulations, compliance requirements, and internal control frameworks.
- Proficiency with accounting and ERP software, advanced MS Excel skills, and the ability to work with large data sets accurately.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work cross-functionally and guide junior accounting staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications such as CA, CMA, or equivalent are preferred.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, apparel, or fashion environment is an advantage, along with familiarity with inventory and cost accounting.
