Role Description The Community Development Manager is a full-time, remote role responsible for building, nurturing, and expanding an engaged proptech-focused community around PropTechBuzz.com. In this role, the manager will design and implement community engagement initiatives, including online forums, webinars, social media interactions, and partnerships with industry groups. Daily activities include communicating with community members, responding to inquiries, creating engagement content, coordinating volunteer or ambassador programs, and tracking community metrics to improve participation and retention.



The role also involves collaborating with marketing and business development teams to support broader economic and community growth objectives, identifying opportunities for collaboration, and strengthening relationships with proptech startups, partners, and stakeholders.
Qualifications

- Strong skills in Community Engagement and Community Development, with experience growing and maintaining active online or industry-focused communities.
- Excellent Communication skills, including clear writing, active listening, and professional stakeholder interaction across digital channels.
- Experience in Volunteer Management, including organizing, engaging, and supporting volunteers, ambassadors, or community champions.
- Understanding of Economic Development principles, preferably within technology, real estate, or proptech ecosystems.
- Relevant professional experience in community management, marketing, or stakeholder relations; proptech or tech/startup sector exposure is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple initiatives, and use digital collaboration and analytics tools effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, urban studies, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive, respectful, and non-discriminatory community-building practices.
