About the Role n

Pythal is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Kids’ Fashion Designer to design clothing and collections for babies and children aged 0–10 years .

n

The role requires someone who can take an idea from concept and sketch to a production-ready design , with a strong understanding of kidswear, fabrics, construction, fit and technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Design baby and kidswear collections for ages 0–10 years .
n
- Develop original concepts, sketches, colour stories, prints, embroidery and garment detailing.
n
- Research kidswear trends, fabrics, colours, silhouettes and seasonal directions .
n
- Create accurate and detailed Tech Packs for sampling and production.
n
- Prepare specifications including measurements, construction details, trims, fabrics, artworks and finishing requirements .
n
- Select suitable fabrics, trims, buttons, zippers, embellishments and other garment components .
n
- Work closely with sampling and production teams to translate designs accurately into finished garments.
n
- Review samples for fit, proportion, comfort, construction and design accuracy .
n
- Make design and specification corrections based on sample reviews.
n




- Maintain consistency in design language across collections while developing fresh concepts.
n
- Support the development of coordinated outfits and collections across different age groups.
n

Requirements nn
- Qualification in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or a related field .
n
- Strong interest or experience in baby and children’s fashion .
n
- Good fashion illustration and garment design skills.
n
- Strong knowledge of Tech Pack development .
n
- Understanding of garment construction, fabrics, trims, measurements and sizing.
n
- Proficiency in relevant design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop .
n
- Good attention to detail and ability to create production-ready designs.
n
- Ability to work closely with sampling, sourcing and production teams.
n

Added Advantage n

Hands-on knowledge of stitching, pattern understanding, and sample making will be a strong plus.

n

Candidates who can not only design a garment but also understand how it is constructed and developed into a finished sample will be preferred.
