Senior Accountant – Australian Building Contractor Client (Remote / India-based role reporting to Australian Outsourced CFO)

About the Opportunity

Our client is a well-established Australian building contractor. Our outsourced CFO team is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant based in the Philippines. This is a key finance role providing high-level support to the Australian-based CFO, with full ownership of core accounting processes in a construction environment.

Above-market salary will be offered to the right candidate. $2200 - $2500 depending on the experience

Key Responsibilities

- Perform full sub-ledger reconciliations (all ledgers)
- Manage monthly, quarterly and year-end closing processes and associated reporting
- Produce contract status and profitability reports, including work-in-progress, cost-to-complete and margin analysis by project
- Produce accurate and timely management reports and ad-hoc reports in JobPac
- Support the Australian CFO with high-quality financial analysis and reporting
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and client requirements
- Deliver exceptional service to an Australian-based client team

Essential Criteria

- CPA (or equivalent professional accounting qualification) – Australian qualification preferred




- Proven Australian client service experience (essential)
- Minimum 3–5 years hands-on experience with JobPac software (essential)
- Advanced Excel skills, including thorough knowledge and practical use of Macros
- Strong experience in full sub-ledger reconciliations
- Demonstrated experience in monthly, quarterly and year-end closing and reporting
- Proven experience preparing contract status and profitability reporting (WIP, cost-to-complete, project margin) in a construction or contracting environment
- Proven ability to produce ad-hoc reports in JobPac
- Experience reporting directly to a CFO or senior finance leader (Australian-based preferred)
- Robust, verifiable references from previous relevant employers
