Roles & Responsibilities Conduct scheduled, surprise and cycle stock audits across retail stores and warehouses.
Reconcile physical inventory with system records and identify shortages, excesses and discrepancies.
Monitor shrinkage, pilferage, stock losses and operational leakages and drive corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with inventory SOPs and operational controls across stores.
Audit inward and outward stock movements , documentation and system entries.
Prepare audit reports covering observations, root causes, risks and actionable recommendations .
Investigate inventory discrepancies with Store and Operations teams and support timely stock recovery.
Identify damaged, defective, expired and non-saleable inventory and oversee the Return to Warehouse (RTW) process.
Recommend improvements to strengthen inventory accuracy, operational efficiency and loss prevention .
Track inventory health metrics and maintain high stock accuracy across retail locations.
Collaborate with Operations, Warehouse and Store teams to strengthen inventory controls and audit compliance.
Ideal Candidate
Mandatory
2+ years of experience in Inventory Audit, Retail Audit, Stock Control or Loss Prevention within D2C Retail, FMCG or Lifestyle brands .
Hands-on experience conducting scheduled,



surprise and cycle stock audits across stores and warehouses.
Robust experience reconciling physical inventory vs. system records and identifying discrepancies.
Experience monitoring shrinkage, pilferage, stock losses and operational leakages and implementing corrective actions.
Experience auditing inward/outward stock movements , documentation and system entries.
Strong experience preparing audit reports covering observations, root causes, risks and recommendations .
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, reporting and inventory analysis .
Good understanding of inventory management systems, audit processes and SOP compliance .
Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation and attention-to-detail skills with high integrity and ownership.
Good communication skills in Hindi and English , with the ability to work effectively with store and cross-functional teams.
Willingness to travel extensively (15–20 days/month) across store locations.
Comfortable conducting early morning, late evening and night audits when required.
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Supply Chain, Operations or a related field .
Experience with D2C/FMCG/Lifestyle brands having a large retail store network .
