Responsible for supervising PDC production operations, manpower, machine performance, quality and safety to achieve production targets with minimum rejection and downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise day-to-day Pressure Die Casting (PDC/HPDC) production.
Achieve daily/shift-wise production targets.
Manage operators and allocate manpower according to production requirements.
Monitor PDC machine parameters, cycle time and productivity.
Coordinate die setting, die change and production trials.
Identify and control casting defects such as porosity, blow holes, flash, cold shut, misrun and short shot.
Monitor rejection and take corrective action to reduce defects.
Coordinate with Quality, Die Maintenance, Tool Room and Maintenance teams.
Handle machine/process-related issues and minimize downtime.
Maintain production reports, rejection reports and shift records.
Ensure compliance with 5S, safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Train and guide operators on production processes and work instructions.
Support continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen, OEE and productivity improvement.
