Role & responsibilities
Plan and monitor daily/shift-wise production as per customer requirements.
Allocate manpower and machines according to the production plan.
Supervise press machines, progressive tools, compound tools, and related operations.
Monitor production output, rejection, rework, downtime, and productivity.
Ensure correct material, tool, die, and process parameters are used.
Ensure FIFO and proper raw-material/finished-goods identification.
Monitor tool condition and coordinate with Tool Room/Maintenance for breakdowns and tool issues.
Reduce machine downtime, rejection, and material wastage.
Ensure first-piece approval and adherence to quality standards.
Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, Stores, PPC, and Dispatch teams.
Maintain shift production reports, rejection reports, downtime reports, and other required records.
Ensure 5S, housekeeping, PPE,



and all safety requirements are followed.
Train and guide operators and improve operator productivity.
Conduct shift handover with proper information on pending production, quality issues, breakdowns, and tools.
Take immediate corrective action for production and quality problems.
Support continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen, productivity improvement, scrap reduction, and cycle-time reduction.
Ensure compliance with company procedures and IATF/quality-system requirements.
