Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Manage general ledger (GL) accounting and journal entries.
Perform bank, balance-sheet, intercompany, and account reconciliations.
Handle month-end and year-end closing activities.
Review accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
Prepare accruals, provisions, prepayments, and fixed-asset schedules.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, and company policies.
Analyze financial data and explain significant variances to management.
Review the work of junior accountants and provide guidance.
Identify prospects to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
