Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review UK Personal Self Assessment Tax Returns (SA100).
Prepare accurate UK tax computations and supporting schedules.
Handle tax returns involving employment income, self-employment/sole trader and rental/property income.
Review tax returns prepared by junior team members.
Ensure accuracy and compliance with HMRC requirements and UK tax legislation.
Identify discrepancies and resolve issues in tax computations and returns.
Ensure timely completion of assigned tax files and meet process deadlines.
Maintain proper documentation and records for tax files.
Keep updated with changes in UK Personal Tax laws and HMRC requirements.
Coordinate with internal teams/client stakeholders for missing information or clarifications.
Support process improvement and quality initiatives.

Mandatory Requirements




2+ years of relevant UK Personal Tax experience – Mandatory.
Hands-on experience in UK Self Assessment Tax Returns.
Experience in preparing SA100 and supporting schedules.
Valuable knowledge of UK tax computations.
Experience handling sole trader/self-employed and/or rental/property income.
Experience with UK tax software such as CCH, Digita, IRIS, TaxCalc or similar.
Valuable understanding of HMRC requirements and UK Personal Tax legislation.
Solid attention to detail and analytical skills.

Preferred Profile

Candidates from UK Personal Tax, UK Accounting, UK Taxation, Accounting Outsourcing, CA firms or UK-focused accounting firms will be preferred, provided they have direct hands-on UK Personal Tax experience.
