Role Overview The Li-ion & BESS Electrical Integration Design Engineer will design, integrate, and validate electrical systems for Lithium-Ion Battery (LiB) packs and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
Key Responsibilities
System Architecture: Develop electrical integration layouts for LiB modules, packs, and BESS systems.
Design Validation: Conduct electrical simulations, short-circuit analysis, and fault-tree evaluations.
Standards Compliance: Ensure designs meet UL, IEC, ISO, and UN 38.3 standards.
Thermal & Electrical Integration: Collaborate with mechanical and thermal teams.
Digital Tools: Use ECAD/MCAD, ANSYS, MATLAB/Simulink, digital twin methodologies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with product design, manufacturing, and compliance teams.
Failure Analysis: Investigate electrical failures and implement improvements.
Documentation:
Prepare design reports and compliance documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or Energy Systems.
3–7 years of experience in Li-Ion battery pack design or BESS integration.
Knowledge of high-voltage systems (up to 1500V DC).
Working experience with simulation tools (ANSYS, MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice).
Familiarity with manufacturing processes for battery modules.
Understanding of safety standards and compliance requirements.
