Production Engineer – Heavy Fabrication

Location: Chakan, Pune
Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹30,000 per month

Job Summary

We are looking for a Production Engineer with hands-on experience in heavy fabrication and shop-floor production. The candidate will be responsible for achieving production targets, manpower handling, quality, safety and smooth fabrication operations.

Key Responsibilities
Manage daily shop-floor fabrication and production activities.
Allocate work and handle fitters, welders, operators and helpers.
Ensure production targets are achieved as per the production plan.
Read and understand engineering/fabrication drawings.
Monitor fit-up, welding, fabrication and assembly activities.
Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Stores and Maintenance.
Monitor productivity, rejection, rework and material wastage.
Ensure 5S, PPE, safety and housekeeping standards.
Prepare daily production and manpower reports.
Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
Support Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills




3+ years of experience in Heavy Fabrication / Structural Fabrication.
Positive knowledge of Welding, Fit-up and Fabrication Processes.
Ability to read engineering and fabrication drawings.
Strong manpower handling and leadership skills.
Basic knowledge of MS Excel & MS Word.
Valuable communication and problem-solving skills.
