Key Responsibilities
Ensure the OPD is set for consultation
Setting up procedure trays and dress trolleys and assisting doctor in procedures and dressings.
Assist consultants in OPD consult Rooms.
Follow strictly all safety measures involved in patient care.
To maintain a cordial interpersonal relationship within the unit, support departments, patient and doctor.
To be aware of patient rights and preserve the same.
To handle with care and with knowledge all gadgets used in patient care in OPD.
To pack and transport the instruments for autoclave and gas sterilization.
To assist the collection of specimen or wound cultures other than blood.
To assist in ECG and NST recording
Attend in service programs and trainings to enhance knowledge.
To maintain strict discipline and decorum at all times.
To be aware of the NABH standards and implement wherever necessary.
To be more contented with infection control practices.
Report unethical practice and sentinel events to the HOD.
To be aware of all emergency codes.
