Role Objective

To operate and maintain Column & Boom welding manipulators for precision welding of large fabricated components, ensuring adherence to technical specifications, safety standards, and production targets.

Key Responsibilities
Operate Column & Boom welding manipulators for longitudinal and circumferential welds.
Configure welding parameters: voltage, current, wire feed speed, travel speed, and arc gap.
Align welding heads and fixtures according to engineering drawings and weld maps.
Monitor weld quality, penetration, and bead profile during automated welding.
Perform preventive maintenance on manipulators, welding torches, and control systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues in welding automation equipment.
Ensure compliance with ISO, ASME, and AWS welding standards.
Document welding parameters, production logs, and maintenance records.

Technical Skills
Proficiency in Submerged Arc Welding (SAW), MIG/MAG, and TIG processes.
Knowledge of PLC-controlled welding automation systems.




Ability to interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
Familiarity with welding consumables (flux, wire, electrodes).
Understanding of metallurgy and heat input control.
Competence in safety practices: PPE usage, fume extraction, and fire prevention.

Qualifications
ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Welding, or Fabrication Technology.
3–5 years of experience in welding automation or heavy fabrication industry.
Certification in ASME/AWS welding standards preferred.

Work Workplace
Heavy fabrication shop floor with exposure to welding fumes, heat, and noise.
Requires shift-based work aligned with production schedules.
Physical stamina to handle long hours and heavy equipment.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹42,000.00 per month
