Position: Commis – Continental
Department: Kitchen / Culinary
Location: Mumbai
Experience: 1–3 years in Continental cuisine
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook Continental dishes as per standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
Assist CDP/DCDP and senior chefs with daily kitchen operations.
Handle mise-en-place, preparation, portioning, and plating.
Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of food items.
Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards in the kitchen.
Monitor stock levels and inform seniors about shortages or wastage.
Follow kitchen SOPs and maintain proper food safety practices.
Support the team during busy service periods and ensure timely food preparation.
Requirements
1–3 years of experience in Continental cuisine preferred.
Knowledge of basic Continental cooking techniques.
Valuable understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety.
Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant/hotel environment.
Team player with valuable discipline and willingness to learn.
Relevant culinary/hotel management qualification preferred.
