About the job:

We are looking for a GIS Executive to support Afforestation, Reforestation & Revegetation (ARR) and carbon credit projects across India. This role involves hands-on remote sensing, land eligibility assessment, and spatial data analysis in support of verified carbon standards and MRV activities.

Key Responsibilities:
LULC mapping and land eligibility assessment using satellite imagery.
Historical tree cover and change detection analysis.
Cropland/non-cropland assessment using remote sensing techniques.
Verification of KML/KMZ, shapefiles, polygons, and field survey data.
Calculation and interpretation of NDVI, EVI, SAVI, BSI, NDTI, LSWI and other spectral indices.
Preparation of GIS maps, reports, dashboards, and spatial databases.
Support carbon project documentation, baseline studies, and MRV activities.
Coordinate with field teams for geo-spatial data validation.

Required Skills:
Experience: 1–5 Years
Hands-on experience in QGIS, ArcGIS and Google Earth Engine (GEE).
Robust understanding of remote sensing, satellite image analysis,



and GIS mapping.
Experience working with Sentinel, Landsat, Google Earth and similar datasets.
Ability to independently conduct land eligibility and tree cover assessments.
Knowledge of forestry, agriculture, watershed, biodiversity, or carbon projects will be preferred.
Experience in ARR/AFOLU carbon projects and Verra eligibility assessment will be an added advantage.

Qualification:

Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in GIS, Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing, Geography, Forestry, Environmental Science, Agriculture, or related disciplines.
