The Plant & Machinery Executive / Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the availability, maintenance, utilization, and operational efficiency of construction equipment and machinery deployed at site. The role requires coordination with project teams, vendors, service providers, and equipment operators to ensure uninterrupted project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Planning & Deployment
Plan and coordinate mobilization and demobilization of construction equipment across project sites.
Ensure timely availability of machinery as per project schedules.
Monitor equipment allocation and utilization to maximize productivity.
Plant & Machinery Maintenance
Schedule preventive and breakdown maintenance activities for all construction equipment.
Coordinate with OEMs, service agencies, and vendors for repairs and servicing.
Ensure equipment uptime and reduce downtime through effective maintenance planning.
Maintain service records, maintenance logs, and machine history cards.
Equipment Monitoring & Utilization
Monitor daily machinery performance and utilization reports.
Track fuel consumption, operating hours, and productivity metrics.
Identify underutilized equipment and recommend optimization measures.
Prepare monthly equipment utilization and cost reports.
Vendor & AMC Management
Coordinate with equipment suppliers, rental agencies, and maintenance contractors.
Evaluate vendor performance and ensure compliance with service standards.
Assist in finalization and administration of Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs).
Inventory & Spare Parts Management
Maintain inventory of critical spares, consumables, and tools.
Monitor stock levels and initiate procurement requests.
Ensure proper storage and issuance of spare parts.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure all machines comply with statutory and safety requirements.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment and lifting machinery.
Monitor certification and calibration
