Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Platform Engineer with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design, scale, and maintain our core infrastructure. In this role, you will bridge the gap between cutting-edge cloud architecture, robust operational reporting, automated delivery pipelines, and team leadership.

As a senior member of the team, you will not only write infrastructure as code (IaC) but also own the CI/CD ecosystem, mentor engineers, establish operational metrics, and ensure our platforms are secure, highly available, and cost-optimized.

Key Responsibilities:
GCP Infrastructure & Architecture
Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Implement and manage production-grade Kubernetes clusters using GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine).
Define and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), primarily utilizing Terraform.
Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
Own, optimize, and scale the companys CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid, secure,



and reliable application deployments.
Standardize deployment workflows using contemporary delivery patterns (e.g., GitOps, Canary deployments, Blue/Green deployments).
Integrate automated security scanning (SAST/DAST), vulnerability assessments, and compliance checks directly into the build and release pipelines.
Ensure secret management and workplace variables are securely handled across all delivery stages.
Operational Reporting & Observability
Architect and maintain comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using GCP Operations Suite, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
Develop operational dashboards and generate regular reports on deployment frequency, lead time for changes, change failure rates, and system uptime (DORA metrics).
Lead FinOps initiatives by tracking, analyzing, and reporting on GCP cloud spend, driving cost-optimization strategies across teams.
