Primary Years Programme (PYP) CoordinatorPosition Summary

The PYP Coordinator provides strategic and instructional leadership for the planning, implementation, development, and evaluation of the school's primary curriculum, with a focus on inquiry-based, concept-driven, student-centred learning.

The ideal candidate will have experience in IB PYP or another established international curriculum, such as Cambridge Primary, British Curriculum, International Primary Curriculum (IPC), or a comparable international education framework.

Candidates without direct IB PYP experience may also be considered if they demonstrate robust experience in curriculum leadership, instructional coaching, teacher development, inquiry-based learning, curriculum planning, assessment, and whole-school academic improvement.

The Coordinator will work closely with teachers and school leadership to strengthen teaching and learning, support career development, promote student agency, and ensure high-quality curriculum implementation.

Key Responsibilities1. Curriculum & Programme Leadership




Lead the planning, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the primary curriculum.
For an IB school, support the effective implementation and development of the IB PYP framework.
Coordinate and review curriculum planning, mapping, progression, and documentation across primary grades.
Ensure robust vertical and horizontal articulation of learning.
Promote inquiry-based, concept-driven, transdisciplinary, and student-centred learning.
Monitor the quality and consistency of curriculum implementation across grade levels.
Support alignment between curriculum, school vision, mission, and educational goals.
Promote student agency, international-mindedness, collaboration, and holistic development.
