Job Description Accounts Executive

Industry: International Freight Forwarding & Logistics

Position: Accounts Executive

Key Responsibilities:
Handle day-to-day accounting entries, including sales, purchase, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
Prepare customer invoices and vendor bills and ensure timely accounting and billing.
Maintain customer and vendor ledgers and follow up for outstanding payments.
Verify freight, airline, shipping line, CHA, transport, and other operational invoices.
Coordinate with the operations team for shipment-wise billing and job cost verification.
Reconcile bank accounts, customer accounts, vendor accounts, and other ledgers.
Assist in GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance and maintain required records.
Monitor accounts receivable and payable and prepare outstanding reports.
Assist in month-end closing, MIS reporting, and preparation of financial statements.
Handle foreign currency transactions and maintain proper records of import/export-related expenses and income.
Coordinate with auditors,



consultants, banks, and other external parties whenever required.
Ensure proper filing and maintenance of accounting documents and supporting records.

Skills & Qualifications:
Graduate in Commerce / B.Com preferred.
2–5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in freight forwarding, logistics, or shipping industry.
Positive knowledge of GST, TDS, Tally/ERP, MS Excel, and basic accounting principles.
Knowledge of freight forwarding accounting and shipment-wise profitability will be an advantage.
Positive communication, analytical, and reconciliation skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Timely collection of receivables and settlement of payables.
Accurate shipment-wise cost and revenue accounting.
Timely GST/TDS and other statutory compliance.
