Job Summary

A Steel Fabrication and Galvanising is seeking an experienced and result-oriented
Deputy General Manager (DGM) – India Operations & Production
to lead the overall operations of its
Steel Fabrication and Hot-Dip Galvanizing Plant
.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the effective management of plant operations, production planning and execution, manpower and resource utilization, fabrication activities, galvanizing processes, quality assurance, maintenance coordination, productivity improvement and cost control. The role requires solid technical knowledge, proven leadership capability and substantial hands-on experience in steel fabrication and galvanizing operations.

Key Roles & Responsibilities




Operations Management
Lead and manage the overall day-to-day operations of the Steel Fabrication and Galvanizing Plant.
Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, raw materials, consumables, utilities and other operational resources.
Develop and implement operational strategies to improve plant efficiency, productivity, capacity utilization and profitability.
Establish and monitor operational KPIs and take corrective action where performance falls below target.
Ensure effective coordination between the
Sales, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, Production and Dispatch Departments
.
Ensure the timely execution of preventive and breakdown maintenance of all machinery and equipment in coordination with the Maintenance Department.
Support the installation, testing, commissioning and operational integration of recent machinery and equipment.
Control production costs through effective utilization of raw
