The Advanced Robotics Simulation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and validating high-fidelity virtual environments and robotic simulation platforms. This role focuses on bridging the gap between simulated and real-world robotic deployment through automated simulation pipelines, reinforcement learning frameworks, ROS2 integration, and GPU-accelerated infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have solid expertise in robotics software development, simulation technologies, and up-to-date AI-based robot training methodologies. The role requires close collaboration with hardware, controls, and software engineering teams to improve robotic performance and accelerate development cycles.
Simulation Development & Architecture
Design, develop, and maintain high-fidelity robotic simulation environments using NVIDIA Isaac Sim and Isaac Lab.
Build and optimise sensor and actuator simulation pipelines for virtual testing and validation.
Develop scalable frameworks for robotic experimentation and performance evaluation.
Robot Learning & AI Training
Implement and optimise physics-based reinforcement learning (RL) workflows using Isaac Gym and related frameworks.
Leverage robotics foundation models, including NVIDIA GR00T, to accelerate robot learning and autonomy development.
Evaluate and improve model performance through iterative training and validation.
Middleware Integration
Develop, configure, and troubleshoot Robot Operating System 2 (ROS2) interfaces.
Ensure seamless communication and synchronisation between simulation environments and physical robotic systems.
Support simulation-to-hardware control mapping and system integration activities.
Automation & Scripting
Develop modular and maintainable Python tools for simulation automation.
