Job Summary

Kauvery Hospital, Salem is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Pharmacy to oversee the overall pharmacy operations, including both Inpatient (IP) and Outpatient (OP) Pharmacy.

The role will be responsible for ensuring smooth pharmacy operations, driving IP & OP pharmacy sales, maintaining optimum inventory, controlling expiry and stock losses, ensuring statutory compliance, managing the pharmacy team, and delivering an excellent patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day IP and OP pharmacy operations.
Monitor and drive IP & OP pharmacy sales and revenue performance.
Ensure timely availability and accurate dispensing of medicines.
Monitor pharmacy sales, prescription conversion, and consumption trends.
Maintain optimum inventory levels and minimize stock-outs.
Control near-expiry,



expired, slow-moving, and non-moving stocks.
Conduct periodic stock verification and ensure proper inventory reconciliation.
Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Nursing, Doctors, Billing, and other departments.
Ensure adherence to pharmacy SOPs, medication safety standards, and statutory requirements.
Monitor pharmacy service turnaround time and improve patient experience.
Manage duty rosters, manpower allocation, and productivity of the pharmacy team.
Train and guide pharmacists and pharmacy staff on operational and quality standards.
Handle patient concerns and pharmacy-related escalations effectively.
Prepare and review daily/monthly pharmacy sales, inventory, and operational MIS.
Support internal/external audits and ensure timely closure of observations.
Identify prospects for process improvement, cost optimization, and revenue enhancement.
