Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced
Commissioning Engineer – Protection & Automation
to support testing, commissioning, configuration and troubleshooting of protection and control systems for medium- and high-voltage applications.
The role involves working on
Control & Relay Panels, Protection IEDs, communication protocols, SCADA integration and protection schemes
, along with customer coordination and site commissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Responsibilities
Testing and commissioning of Control & Relay Panels (CRP) up to 765 kV.
Testing and commissioning of Protection Relays and Protection Schemes for MV and HV applications, including:
Feeder protection
Transformer protection
Distance protection
Generator protection
Line differential protection
Busbar protection
Configuration and testing of communication protocols such as: Modbus, DNP3.0, IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-103 etc
Creation and configuration of Datasets, RCBs and signal tagging.
Configuration, parametrization, commissioning and integration of Protection IEDs with SCADA systems.
Perform interoperability and integration testing of Protection IEDs.
Hands-on testing using secondary injection test equipment such as: OMICRON, DOBLE, PONOVO, ISA etc
Perform automated testing using methods/tools such as OCC, State Sequencing, Distance and Differential Characteristic Testing.
Carry out retrofitting and troubleshooting of Protection IEDs and replacement of Control & Relay Panels.
Provide technical support and training to customers and internal teams.
