About the Role

We are looking for a
Senior Director of Engineering
to lead a large-scale
Commerce Platform
that powers end-to-end commerce journeys across multiple consumer channels.

This is a high-impact engineering leadership role responsible for a
channel-agnostic commerce platform
serving experiences across
Mobile App, Website, Stores, Call Centers and other commerce channels
.

The ideal leader will combine
robust engineering depth, architecture expertise, consumer product thinking and large-scale people leadership
. This is not just a backend engineering leadership role—the candidate must understand how technology enables the complete customer journey from
discovery to product consideration, cart, checkout and successful order conversion
.

Key Responsibilities
Own the engineering strategy and execution for the Commerce Platform supporting critical consumer journeys.




Lead a globally distributed engineering organization of approximately
100–150 engineers
across India, Germany and Greece.
Define and drive scalable, resilient and highly available
commerce architecture

Own technical strategy across:
Product Discovery
Product Catalog
Category & Product Listing
Search / Discovery Experiences
Cart
Checkout
Order Placement
Conversion Funnel
Customer Commerce Journeys
Partner closely with Product, Design, Business and other technology leaders to translate consumer and business problems into scalable technical solutions.
Drive architecture decisions for
high-scale distributed systems
, platform modernization and engineering excellence.
Ensure the platform can support multiple commerce channels while maintaining a consistent customer experience.
Build robust engineering practices around scalability, reliability, performance, security, observability and operatio
