We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Should Costing Engineer with Tear Down Experience for our client at Bangalore, Karnataka, India. The Should Costing Engineer will independently execute teardown and costing assignments; develop structured BOMs and robust bottom-up should-cost models. Drive the team, project lead-time adherence, and team productivity. Lead teardown should-costing programs; validate cost models; review and drive cost-optimization strategy; and engage stakeholders and also execute task-based activities.

Key Responsibilities
Should-Cost Modeling: Build zero-based cost estimates from the ground up for commodities like casting, machining, injection molding, and electronics.
Cost Driver Identification: Pinpoint exact design decisions,
material selections, or production inefficiencies that drive up product costs
Supplier Quote Validation: Evaluate and negotiate supplier proposals, identifying deviations between quoted prices and internal should-cost targets.
Cost Optimization VAVE: Support Value Analysis and Value Engineering initiatives and current product introductions to reduce costs while preserving quality.
Own multiple teardown costing workstreams
Review and validate complex cost models
Drive Design-to-Value VA/VE initiatives
Lead client/stakeholder discussions
Develop standardized costing frameworks
Support negotiation analytics savings validation
Team supervision quality governance
Requirements
Experience: 3 to 6 years of qualified experience in Should Costing with Tear Down Experience.
NTTF / GTDC Tool Manufacturing / B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical, Industrial, Production, Electrical) or equivalent
