Key Responsibilities
Operate CMM Machines
Run CMM programs for dimensional inspection of components.
Set up and align parts on the CMM machine.
Ensure proper probe selection and calibration.
Inspection & Measurement
Measure dimensions, geometric tolerances (GD&T;), and surface features.
Verify product quality against drawings, standards, and customer requirements.
Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
Programming Support
Create or modify CMM programs when required.
Maintain and update inspection programs and measurement data.
Documentation
Generate CMM inspection reports.
Record measurement results and maintain quality records.
Prepare PPAP, FAIR, and customer inspection reports as required.
Quality Control
Identify non-conforming parts and report quality issues.
Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with ISO/IATF quality standards.
Equipment Maintenance
Perform daily machine checks and basic maintenance.
Ensure calibration status of CMM and measuring instruments.
Keep the inspection area clean and organized.
Coordination
Work closely with Production, Quality, Tool Room, and Customer Quality teams.
Support customer audits and internal quality audits.
Required Skills
Knowledge of CMM operation and programming (PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS, etc.).
Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.;
Knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, and Bore Gauge.
Basic computer and reporting skills.
Understanding of automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, PPAP, SPC, MSA).
Experience Requirement
Diploma/BE .
1–4 years of experience in CMM operation and quality inspection, preferably in automotive or sheet metal manufacturing.
