Must-have:
Excellent spoken English — not just basic English.
Robust guest interaction and communication skills.
Previous experience as Captain / Senior Captain / Senior Steward.
Experience specifically in North Indian/Punjabi restaurants.
Good knowledge of North Indian dishes, ingredients and preparation.
Can explain dishes and make recommendations to customers.
Able to manage a team of waiters/stewards.
Robust knowledge of sequence of service.
Can handle complaints without immediately calling the manager.
Comfortable with POS, KOT, billing and table management.
Good grooming and skilled personality.
Can handle busy dinner/weekend operations.
Should understand upselling — starters, beverages, desserts, combos, etc.
