Job Description: A Security Officer protects property, assets, employees, and visitors by maintaining a visible presence, monitoring surveillance systems, and enforcing safety rules. Key Responsibilities

- Patrols: Walk or drive through interior and exterior areas on a regular schedule to check for hazards, unlocked doors, or suspicious behavior.

- Access Control: Monitor entrances, verify ID badges, issue visitor passes, and screen incoming vehicles or foot traffic.

- Surveillance: Watch CCTV feeds, manage alarm systems, and report equipment malfunctions or unusual activities.

- Emergency Response: Act quickly during medical crises, fires, or security breaches, and contact local law enforcement or medical teams when needed.

- Reporting: Write detailed daily activity logs and incident reports for any security breaches or unusual events.

Skills and Qualifications




- High School Diploma: Or an equivalent secondary education credential.

- Physical Fitness: Ability to stand or walk for long periods and respond quickly to incidents.

- Communication: Explicit verbal and written skills to interact with the public and write clear incident logs.

- Calm Under Pressure: Good judgment and emotional control to de-escalate tense or dangerous situations.

- Licensing: Valid state or local security license, plus background check clearance and optional CPR/First Aid certification.
