Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Deputy Manager / Manager – Stores to manage the overall operations of both the Cold Store (Finished Goods) and Dry Store (Raw Materials & Packaging Materials). The person will be responsible for ensuring efficient inventory management, maintaining stock accuracy, supporting uninterrupted production, strengthening warehouse controls, and leading the store team while ensuring compliance with company procedures and food safety standards.

The role requires solid expertise in Microsoft Dynamics NAV (ERP) along with excellent leadership, inventory control, and warehouse management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations

- Manage day-to-day operations of the Cold Store and Dry Store.
- Ensure smooth receipt, storage, preservation, and issuance of raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and finished goods.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels to support uninterrupted production and dispatch operations.
- Ensure adherence to FIFO/FEFO principles wherever applicable.

Inventory Management

- Monitor inventory accuracy through regular stock verification and cycle counting.




- Investigate inventory variances and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of physical stock with ERP records.
- Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Quality, Planning, and Dispatch teams for efficient inventory movement.

ERP Management

- Ensure accurate and timely transaction posting in Microsoft Dynamics NAV (ERP).
- Monitor inward, outward, stock transfers, consumption, returns, and adjustments in ERP.
- Generate inventory reports and MIS for management review.
- Support ERP process improvements and ensure data integrity.

Team Leadership

- Guide, mentor, and support the stores team in daily operations.
- Allocate work effectively and monitor team productivity.
- Ensure discipline, safety, and adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Assist the Senior Manager/HOD in implementing departmental objectives and process improvements.

Compliance & Documentation

- Maintain proper documentation of all store transactions.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and statutory guidelines.
- Support internal, external, customer, and food safety audits.
- Ensure proper record maintenance and document control.

Coordination

- Work closely with Procurement, Production, Quality Assurance, Planning, Finance, and Logistics teams.




- Ensure timely material availability for production schedules.
- Resolve operational issues related to inventory and warehouse operations.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Additional certifications in Warehouse Management, Inventory Control, or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.

Required Experience

- 7–9 years of experience in Store/Warehouse operations within the Food Processing, Frozen Food, FMCG, or Manufacturing industry.
- Hands-on experience in managing both Cold Store and Dry Store operations.
- Strong exposure to inventory planning, warehouse operations, and material management.

Technical Skills

- Mandatory hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (ERP).
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles (FIFO/FEFO).
- Stock reconciliation and cycle counting.
- Material receipt and issue management.
- Warehouse documentation and record keeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
- Inventory reporting and MIS preparation.
