Role Overview
The Technical Purchase Engineer will be responsible for sourcing components and materials based on technical drawings and specifications, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring timely procurement to keep projects on schedule — while maintaining quality and cost control.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings, BOMs, and specifications to identify correct components for purchase
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors/suppliers for mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components
- Prepare and process purchase orders, and track deliveries against project timelines
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers
- Coordinate with design and project teams to understand procurement priorities and urgent requirements
- Maintain vendor records, price comparisons, and purchase documentation
- Resolve quality or delivery issues with vendors
- Support cost optimization initiatives without compromising on quality or lead time
Requirements
- Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (technical background required)
- 0 to 2 years of experience
- Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel;
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple purchase orders simultaneously
- Strong communication skills

Pay: ₹10,526.11 - ₹26,737.06 per month
