Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Pharmacy Purchase Manager to manage the procurement of medicines, injections, IV fluids, surgical/medical consumables, and other pharmacy products for our hospital. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted availability, competitive pricing, effective inventory management, and reliable vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day procurement of medicines, consumables, and pharmacy supplies.
- Ensure timely availability of essential, critical, and fast-moving medicines.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage pharmaceutical suppliers and distributors.
- Negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor stock levels, consumption, slow/non-moving items, and near-expiry products.
- Minimize stock-outs, expiry losses, and excess inventory.
- Coordinate with Pharmacy, Stores, Nursing, ICU, OT, Emergency, Accounts, and Administration.
- Process purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records.
- Monitor supplier performance,



shortages, returns, and replacements.
- Ensure purchases comply with hospital policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Prepare purchase, inventory, cost, and vendor performance reports for management.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in hospital pharmacy procurement/pharmaceutical purchasing.
- Good knowledge of medicines, medical consumables, inventory control, and expiry management.
- Strong negotiation, vendor-management, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/purchase management systems.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and accountability.

Preferred: Experience in a multispecialty hospital or high-volume hospital pharmacy.
