Senior Counsellor – Central Mumbai Branches

Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹35,000 per month + performance incentives

About the Role

Mayank Tutorials is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Senior Counsellor to manage student counselling, admissions, parent relationships, and day-to-day academic coordination across our Central Mumbai branches.

The ideal candidate should have strong communication and counselling skills, a passion for education, and the ability to independently handle admission targets and guide a team of counsellors/administrative staff.

Roles & Responsibilities

- Handle counselling and admissions for students from 8th to 12th standard
- Achieve monthly and yearly admission targets
- Conduct one-to-one counselling sessions with students and parents
- Convert enquiries and leads into successful admissions
- Follow up with prospective students and parents regularly
- Maintain strong relationships with existing students and parents
- Understand students' academic requirements and recommend suitable courses/batches
- Handle student performance and academic-related concerns
- Coordinate with teachers and branch management to resolve student/parent issues
- Monitor attendance, academic performance, tests, and overall student progress
- Guide and supervise junior counsellors and administration staff
- Track daily enquiries, follow-ups, conversions, and admissions
- Maintain admission records, reports, and branch documentation
- Prepare and review reports using Excel, Google Sheets, and other software




- Support branch-level academic and administrative operations
- Participate in admission campaigns, seminars, open days, scholarship tests, and promotional activities
- Motivate the counselling team to achieve branch targets
- Ensure a positive student and parent experience at the branch
- Take ownership of branch admission performance and contribute to overall branch growth

Desired Candidate Profile

- Minimum 2 years of experience in counselling/admissions, preferably in a reputed coaching institute, school, college, or education company
- Strong experience in student counselling and admission conversion
- Proven ability to achieve admission/sales targets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable communicating in English, Marathi, and Gujarati
- Good leadership and team-management skills
- Strong convincing and negotiation abilities
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Sheets, and CRM/software
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
- Positive attitude with a strong desire to grow within the organisation
- Ability to handle students, parents, teachers, and staff professionally
- Candidates with experience in the coaching/education industry will be preferred
